+The Buddha Amitayus holds a pot that contains the elixir of life; he is credited with providing devotees with health and longevity. Exemplifying the high artistic traditions of Zanabazar(扎纳巴扎尔), Amitayus’ face reflects his perfect state of meditation. The gilding of this delicately rendered image is especially effective in conveying the light that radiates from Amitayus’ body as an expression of his enlightenment.
