| Vajradhara is the Primordial Buddha of Tantric Buddhism. His tranquil expression and seated posture are typical of peaceful depictions in Buddhist imagery, although his lavish adornments clearly identify him as a symbolic Buddha in a bodhisattva appearance. With his upward-gazing eyes, sharp nose, and gentle smile, Vajradhara has a playful and serene presence. On his head is an ornate vajra crown inlaid with precious stones and jewels. The flowing scarves and sway of the hips create a sense of movement and dance.
