鉴赏：
佛陀肉髻光滑、面相方圆，双目微垂、神情安详、法相庄严。外着通肩敞领袈裟，衣领呈U形垂下，衣褶简洁。右臂已损、左手自然垂下置于左腿，结跏趺坐于方形台座之上。台座中央刻有双手托莲座的力士像及发愿文。

发愿文如下：
開皇二年（582）歲次壬寅/十月壬申朔十五日丙戊造
釋迦像普供養、比丘惠靜/當口口重口治

Abel left Shanghai in 1910, after which he lived, at various points in time, in London, Montreal, and Ridgefield, Connecticut. He established a gallery in New York City in 1920.
